History of the Lac des Nations
In 1967, as part of the 100th anniversary of Canadian Confederation, several cities organized important activities. Montreal hosts the “Terre des Hommes” Universal Exhibition and Sherbrooke hosts the 10th World Water Skiing Championships.
For the occasion, participants from 25 countries perform on the Magog River lake. In memory of this event, the lake bears the name of Lac des Nations.
