I got up very early this morning. The wind was good in the shop all night. Last night Manuel went fishing with his friend; here's the catch.

Isabel prepares a delicious breakfast of eggs, bread, and baked beans. It's very good, and I eat with Manuel, Pedro, and Carlos. I leave very early for the Costa Rican border, 4 km away. Everything goes smoothly; I have to pay $1 for the municipal tax and $2 to leave Nicaragua. Then, I head towards Costa Rican customs, and everything is fine. After a few minutes, I'm back in Costa Rica. The road is beautiful, but the wind is strong. I'm riding well and can't wait to reach Liberia. After 60 km, I stop at a small restaurant I visited 12 days ago. The owner lets people traveling by bicycle write on his wall. I left my mark; try to find my message.

I finally arrive in Liberia after covering 83 km in 4 hours and 23 minutes. I'm treating myself to a real luxury tonight.

Tomorrow, I'm taking a plane. I'm currently 13 km from the airport. My trip is over! Thank you to everyone who followed my adventures in Nicaragua. See you next time... What country will I be visiting next? Who knows! David Beauchesne
