Jour 5: Rocky Balboa

Day 5: Rocky Balboa

After a good night's sleep I wake up and I see in the mirror a fighter who marked a whole generation. I feel like I've fought the fight of my life with that cursed dragonfly. See the previous story
Come on Rocky it's going to be fine...You're not bad!!! The eye of the tiger...
It was an intense day of cycling, I who thought that Cuba was going to be an easy destination, it is far from being the case. The Southeast region is dotted with mountains. The climbs and descents were linked. In addition, the wind is always present and strong!!! The bad news is that since the beginning of the trip the wind has been playing tricks on me! The best moment of my day was meeting a nice Cuban family who had been waiting for the bus for 6 hours on the side of the road. Lack of transport remains a major problem on the island. I stayed with them for a while and talked to learn more about Cuban life. They offered me water. Once again the proof that the world is good. Later, on the way, another man gave me three mangoes. After driving 100 km, in conditions that I would not like to experience again tomorrow, I finally arrive in Moa. Moa is a rundown town. The streets are really not pretty. The city is dotted with social housing where hundreds of people are crammed. I find a house to sleep with difficulty tonight. I will eat fish on the polluted seashore. People throw bottles and cans into the ocean. Moa is not my favorite city! It is an industrial city. Big day! It's time to sleep! David Beauchesne www.fast123.ca
